Retrofit Europe - Retrofitting 250 million homes to 0-energy performance housing in Europe
The SBE Conference series is considered as the pre-eminent international conference on sustainable building and construction, promoted by the international organizations IISBE, CIB, UNEP-SBCI and FIDIC.
The conference will last 2 days and field excursions on day 3. The conference starts and ends with round table debates on ‘How to get 250 million houses performing net zero energy, within CO2 budgets available under the 2-degree scenario’. In plenary, you will have the opportunity to discuss and learn more about different retrofit concepts and application in several climate zones. Solutions are explored in detail, with a choice of break-out sessions (based on paper selection), workshop sessions (e.g. sharing EU research results, sharing industry experiences, sharing project experiences etc) and ‘on location’ parallel sessions on practical implementation issues (i.e. with focus on retrofit with prefab panels, industrial production and social acceptation). There are also sessions on new research proposals and innovation-pilots, in search of partners, based on accepted abstracts (papers selection).
