Fondazione ICONS is a private non-profit organisation, whose mission is to improve human capital through public communication and exploitation of European research and innovation for the benefit of society.

Fondazione ICONS has an innovative communication and exploitation programme designed for researchers and innovators aiming to maximize their research impacts on society, engaging citizens, scientists, investors, policy makers and the media. Fondazione ICONS adopts an innovative and integrated impact-based communication and exploitation approach. Its capability to design targeted communication and exploitation plans, distribute contents and assess, measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of the strategy through a scalable approach allows to effectively achieve the expected project impacts. To this end, Fondazione ICONS studies and develops indicators to measure research impacts on society in terms of awareness, acceptance and uptake.
