It is well known that the construction industry suffers from inefficient practices, resulting in high amounts of waste, duplication of processes and increased costs. A solution focused on sharing data about materials used in new and existing buildings and their impacts on the environment in a digital format to stakeholders across buildings’ value chain will be provided.
As part of this solution, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Material Passport (MP) will be jointly provided as services to increase productivity and efficiency in the built environment, allowing for better decision making along the value chain, from design to construction/refurbishment, operation, maintenance and demolition.
In HOUSEFUL, MP based on advance 3D model (BIM) will be carried out in each Frontrunner building to share asset data across building’s value chain. Generation of documentation in a MP will give an overview of products, components and materials used in the existing construction objects, in sequential years to be updated with a financial valuation.
